Mahlako Komane - SABC-News -

It was a dark weekend for Soweto that saw four women brutally murdered.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the Soweto murders of Popi Qwabe and Bongeka Phungula.

The pair's bodies were dumped at Tladi and Naledi on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and police are still looking for the killers of two other women who were killed and left in Soweto over the weekend.

For their friends, Bongeka Phungula and Popi Qwabe’s justice may come soon as two suspects will appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

While the wheels of justice begin to turn in Durban two families are still trying to make sense of the killings.

Grandmother of one of the deceased Delisile Phungula says that this is painful to her.

"I don't know what to say as I don't know why this person that killed my daughter hated me so much and why did they do this to her.”

South of Durban police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old woman and she is believed to have been burnt to death by her boyfriend.

More women killers on the loose in Soweto as Lerato Moloi's half naked body was discovered in the area on Sunday.

It’s believed she was stoned, raped and burnt and another unidentified female body was discovered in Mofolo.

Eleven Tanzanian nationals appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, as the group allegedly gang raped a 22-year-old pregnant woman in Johannesburg's inner city.

When police arrived on scene the suspects were standing in a queue waiting to have sex with her.

Their case was postponed to June 20th to allow the investigators to verify their legality in the country.
