Una targa al Club Italiano di Città del Capo per onorare i soci benefattori

Messaggio del presidente -                      

Cari soci e amici,
Il tempo vola e sono gia 4 mesi che sono al timone. Sono lieta di informarvi dei progressi su alcune questioni del Club.

Il progetto “bagni” è stato completato. Lavori di ristrutturazione al vecchio bagno uomini sono in corso (estrattori d’aria ecc) e questi servizi saranno poi trasformati in un bagno “unisex” per i disabili.

Il progetto per l’impermeabilizzazione della sezione nuova inizierà fine Settembre appena il bel tempo permette.
 
Entro le prossime 2 settimane metteremo una targa di riconoscimento nel passaggio d’ingresso. Questo comprenderà tutte le donazioni date al Club. Chiediamo la vostra pazienza perché i nomi saranno messi in fasi successive. Una volta completato daremo l’opportunità a tutti i soci di suggerire nomi che possono essere stati omessi involontariamente. Al ballo del Presidente (data seguirà) la targa sarà scoperta in riconoscimento delle donazioni di tanti dei nostri soci nel corso degli anni.

La situazione finanziaria del club si sta lentamente stabilizzando. Il comitato si sta concentrando su questioni più critiche per garantire la sostenibilità delle nostre fonti di reddito.
Speriamo che continueremo a vedervi alle varie funzioni che è importante per il continuo successo del Club.

Vorrei inoltre ringraziare tutti per il sostegno dimostrato verso di me e il mio comitato nel corso degli ultimi 4 mesi.

Vorremmo introdurre corsi di lingua italiana per genitori insieme con i loro bambini. Questi avranno luogo al Club il Sabato mattina dalle 11h00-12h30.

Adulti:R200 registrazione + R1300 lezioni+R400 libri; Bambini R200  registrazione + R1200 lezioni +R250 libri(eta 7-10), +R390 libri ( età 11-14).Nessun libro richiesto per bambini sotto i 7 anni.
Famiglia: Solo 1 membro paga la tassa di registrazione.

Message from the president

Dear Members
Wow – time has flown by and after 4 months at the helm I am happy to report the progress on some club matters.

The toilets project has been completed and the new ladies and gents have now been painted. Some renovations to the old men’s toilet are underway to insert much needed extraction - whereafter this toilet will be turned into a unisex facility for the disabled.

The project to do the waterproofing over the entire new extension will commence end September when sunny weather permits.

Within the next 2 weeks the completion of the entrance way will commence with the boards of acknowledgement and recognition. This will include a donor board to acknowledge any and all donations to the club. In this regard we ask for your patience as the names will go up in stages Once complete we will give an opportunity for all members to advise on any additional names that may have been omitted unintentionally.

At the President’s Dance  (date to be advised) this donor board will be formally unveiled and we will acknowledge the donations of so many of our members over the years.

The club’s financial status is slowly stabilizing with the committee focusing on critical matters only to ensure the sustainability of our income streams.

We hope that we will continue to see you at our various functions which is critical for the continued success of the club.
 
I would like to thank everyone for the support shown to me and my committee over the last 4 months.

MISS SPRING 2012 SATURDAY OCT/06/2012

This very enjoyable and auspicious event will be held in October. We are urgently requesting all our lovely young ladies of  Italian descent and between the ages of 16-24 to contact the admin office for more information.

In collaboration with the Dante Alighieri we would like to introduce Italian language classes for parents together with their children at the Club on a Saturday from 11h00–12h30.

Adults   R200 registration + R1300 tuition + R400 book
Children R200 registration + R1200 tuition + R250 (age 7-10); R390 ( age 11-14). No book required for children under 7
Families: Only 1 member pays the registration fee.
